Pea Pod Broth Time: 1 hour, 20 minutes total (active 20 minutes) Yield: 4 servings pea pods (The tough pods of shelling-type peas, as many as you have. Tendrils, stems, strings, and ends are also fine.) 3 cloves garlic 1/2 onion 5 sprigs parsley salt pepper Optional: celery carrots lovage Step 1: Put all ingredients in a pot, cover with water, and simmer for about an hour. Optionally, you can brown the garlic and onions in oil (or butter) first, then add the other ingredients. Step 2: After 1 hour, strain out the vegetables and discard them.
